Certificate in Network+

Program
The hands-on course in Network+ will cover installation, configuration and troubleshooting basic networking hardware, protocols and services. Students will gain technical ability in the areas of media and topologies, protocols and standards, network implementation, and network support. Technologies such as wireless networking and gigabit Ethernet will be covered. This program is ideal for anyone wanting to start a career or advance their career in the IT industry.
Taught by certified practicing professionals, this hands-on course will help students build their skill sets to move forward in real world computing careers as well as prepare them for the certification exam.
The Certificate in Network+ consists of one required class totaling 40 hours of lecture and hands-on instruction. 4.0 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be awarded to the certificate graduate.

Program Objective
This hands-on course will give students the knowledge to be competent in the administration and support of computer networks across all platforms. Students will be able to: troubleshoot networks, work with TCP/IP and network operating systems, install & upgrade networks, manage user accounts and passwords, control remote access and administration, manage fault tolerance and disaster recovery, as well as prepare for the Network+ certification exam.

Eligibility
This course is designed for individuals who have the basic foundation covered in the Certificate in A+, who have passed the A+ certification exam or have equivalent experience.
