CCNA certified professionals are in great demand in the computer industry today. This more advance course provides the skills and knowledge necessary to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot small to medium-size switched and routed networks. Through extensive hands-on exercises, students gain the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to configure switches and routers; expand the switched networks with multiple switches, VLANs and interswitch links; connect a branch office to a WAN; manage IP address space; manage IP Traffic; and implement network security.
Taught by certified practicing professionals in state-of-the-art computer labs, this course will help students build their skill sets to move forward in real world computing careers.
The Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certificate consists of one required class totaling 64 hours of lecture and hands-on instruction. 6.4 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be awarded to the certificate graduate.
Program Objective
Upon completion of this course, the students will be able to perform the following tasks:
-Use Cisco software to identify interfaces, protocols, addresses, and connectivity.
-Interconnect switches and routers according to a specification.
-Configure switches and routers to support LAN and WAN services
-Expand, configure, verify and troubleshoot a Cisco switched networks with multiple switches, VLANs, interswitch trunks and spanning tree.
-Implement an IP addressing scheme and IP Routing Services for a medium-size Enterprise network
-Configure, verify and troubleshoot advance routing protocols and operation on Cisco routers (OSPF, EIGRP)
-Determine how to apply ACLs for IP traffic management and to configure, verify, and troubleshoot ACLs in a medium-size network
-Determine when to apply NAT or PAT for Address Space Management, and to configure NAT and PAT on reouters
-Implement and verify WAN technologies

Eligibility
This course is designed for individuals who have mastered the knowledge covered in the Certificate in Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician and/or Certificate in Network+.
