Certificate in GATE Certificate
Program
The California Department of Education adopted Recommended GATE Standards for programs for gifted and talented students in 2001. The GATE training in this online certificate program is designed to meet the exemplary level requirement for the Professional Development component specified in the California Recommended GATE Standards. Completion of the five-class, ten-unit GATE Certificate will enable teachers to meet this requirement. The instructors involved in this program are all working professionals in the field of GATE Education.
NOTE: These GATE training classes can be taken concurrently.
Eligibility
Designed for teachers who are currently teaching GATE students or have the potential to be placed in that assignment.
