The MSW-Irvine program prepares social workers to take leadership roles in public social service organizations charged with responding to societal problems such as poverty, family instability, mental illness, and child abuse.
The program is 60-units in length and will take 3 years to complete. Academic terms include fall, spring, and summer. Classes are scheduled in the evenings and will be held at the CSUF Irvine Campus. Students are admitted into the MSW-Irvine program for the fall semester and are placed in a cohort. Each cohort enters and graduates together creating a strong sense of community as they progress throughout the program. All courses in the MSW-Irvine program are offered in a lock-step format, meaning that all students take courses in the order that they are offered and are guaranteed registration for these courses.
