Certificate in Leadership Development
Program
Realize your leadership potential in the Certificate in Leadership Development, a program designed for emerging leaders. The current management emphasis on teams and teamwork makes leadership skills critical to success in today's workplace. In the leadership development courses in this program, you begin by assessing the attributes, skills, knowledge and personal goals that you bring to the role of leadership.
In the Leadership Development Certificate program, you will learn what it means to lead with a vision. You will also examine the nature of strategic leadership and develop a better understanding of your purpose and role within the organization. Classes are led by seasoned experts in coaching, mentoring and teams.
The Leadership Development Certificate program includes six courses totaling 36 hours of lecture and hands-on experience. The certificate graduate will receive 3.6 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
Program Objective
Graduates of the certificate program will be able to:
- Identify qualities which characterize a potential leader
- Build a performance-driven organization
- Use elements of coaching and mentoring
- Use techniques and methodologies that contribute to team productivity
- Know how to keep individuals identify needed core competencies
- Measure the impact of coaching on organizational performance
- Understand the importance of organizational culture in employee retention
- Understand the impact of gender and cultural diversity on organizational performance
