Business English: Written communication plays a critical role in today's business world. In this hands-on program, professionals for whom English is a second language can learn and practice tools and strategies for improving their English vocabulary, grammar and writing for work and everyday communication. You will learn some of the most common American idioms and expressions used in the workplace and everyday communication. The team approach of today's workplace will be addressed, along with communicating with non-technical co-workers.
Public Speaking & Presentation Skills: Learn to deliver outstanding professional-style presentations as you communicate successfully and confidently with your audience. Professionals for whom English is a second language can improve their pronunciation and become better conversationalists in this hands-on program. You will develop the necessary tools and skills to engage your audience and deliver your message. Areas of focus include organization of subject matter for clear and easy to follow presentations, how to "get to the point" quickly, pronunciation, visual aids, PowerPoint and body language.
